FOOD SERVER: The food server is responsible for creating a seamless overall guest dining experience, taking food and beverage orders, carrying out wine and beverage service, performing table maintenance, handling guest checks and related financial transactions, completing opening and closing side work duties and maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in accordance with health code standards. Candidates for this position must:

  • be able to communicate in English fluently and in a professional manner
  • have a minimum of three (3) years of previous work experience as a Food Server in a casual or fine dining restaurant
  • exhibit wine, beverage, basic food and advanced service knowledge, including wine service and up-selling
  • have the ability to work efficiently and within a strong team-first environment
  • handle cash and credit transactions on a point-of-sales (POS) system
  • possess or have the ability to obtain a blue card and the necessary responsibilities that accompany it
  • be able to physically lift up to 50 pounds
  • be at least 21 years of age

COOK: The cook is responsible for working efficiently, accurately, and safely in a high-volume kitchen. The ideal person has the right attitude, pride in the finished product, and can work in a team environment. All Pueo’s employees are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of their work areas and equipment in accordance with health code standards. Candidates for this position must:

  • have a minimum of three (3) years experience in a high volume restaurant
  • be fully capable to work a variety of stations and have the ability to have mastered one
  • have basic knowledge of allergies and food safety procedures
  • understand temperatures as it relates to food safety, knowing the danger zones
  • be able to follow posted recipes in detail
  • have the ability to read, understand, and accurately expedite front-of-house tickets
  • be a great communicator with front-of-house staff
  • have the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • have a passion for food and proactive desire to learn and grow
  • be able to take constructive direction with a positive demeanor and “can do” attitude
  • be able to work varying shifts and overtime if necessary

STEWARD/DISHWASHER: The Steward and Dishwasher position is responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and sanitation of all china, glass, silverware, kitchen utensils and equipment and kitchen production areas in accordance with quality standards, while maintaining a safe working environment. This position is also responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the dining room and bar floor areas and the restrooms. Candidates for this position must:

  • be able to communicate in English fluently and in a professional manner
  • preferably have a minimum of one (1) year of previous work experience as a steward or dishwasher in a casual or fine-dining restaurant
  • have the ability to operate, maintain and properly clean dishwashing machine, sinks and floor cleaning equipment, while correctly utilizing various sanitation products
  • be able to continuously lift china, glass and silverware racks weighing up to 50 pounds and requires pushing and pulling receptacles of food waste and materials weighing up to 100 pounds
  • have the ability to multi-task, work efficiently and within a strong, team-first environment
